A four-year-old child who fell from an escalator in a shopping center in the south of Moscow is in a hospital in serious condition, but his life is not in danger. Olga Yaroslavskaya, children's ombudsman of the capital, informed the Moscow City News Agency about this.
“The child is in the hospital, his condition is quite serious, because there were many injuries. But nothing threatens his life,”she said.
The Children's Ombudsman added that she took the case under her personal control.
“Of course, there are questions for the parents who left their four-year-old child unattended. It may be necessary to raise the issue of their proper parenting. And we, together with social protection, will clarify the issue. Also, of course, I have a question for people who just looked at this situation and did not stop the child,”she added.
Earlier it was reported that on March 3 in a shopping center on the street. Kirovograd, a four-year-old boy fell from an escalator leading from the first floor to the second, onto the counter of a coffee shop. The child was taken to a medical facility with an open craniocerebral injury, a fracture of the cranial vault with a transition to the base, a contusion of the brain, as well as a closed chest injury and a contusion of the lungs. Law enforcement officers are checking.
