A junior sergeant of the DPR Ministry of Internal Affairs was fatally wounded as a result of sniper fire in the Yasinovataya area. The Donetsk news agency was informed about this by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic.
On the morning of March 3, the duty unit of the DPR Ministry of Internal Affairs in the city of Yasinovataya received a message from the officers at a combat post on the line of contact in the area of the Yasinovatskaya industrial zone that a group of children had been found. At about 12 noon, an investigative and operational group of the ministry was sent to the indicated area to evacuate the children. The police came under fire from the Ukrainian troops. One of the Interior Ministry officers was killed by a Ukrainian sniper. As a result, the police were forced to interrupt operational activities, the children were not evacuated, the ministry said.
The report notes that earlier the DPR Ministry of Internal Affairs officers repeatedly suppressed incidents related to the penetration of children into the line of contact from the territory temporarily not controlled by the Republic.
Recall that on Wednesday, the DPR forces received permission to conduct preemptive fire to suppress and destroy the firing points of the Ukrainian army.
