The restriction on the operation of schools and kindergartens in Dagestan's Buinaksk, which was introduced after the mass poisoning of citizens until January 20, was extended until January 24. This was reported to reporters on Wednesday in the press service of the mayor's office.
"Today, at the city headquarters, it was decided to extend the restrictions on the work of schools and kindergartens in the city until January 24 inclusive. Students of secondary schools have been transferred to distance learning. The current sanitary and epidemiological situation is under the control of the city administration," said a representative of the mayor's office.
Earlier it was reported that the number of those who went to doctors with signs of poisoning in the Dagestani Buinaksk increased from 196 to 303, including 239 children. Hospitalization was required for 199 patients, most of them have already been discharged.
Residents of the city began to file complaints of poisoning from January 9. The department of Rospotrebnadzor in Dagestan reported that according to the results of a study of tap water in Buinaksk, the DNA of the causative agent of dysentery was found. The investigating authorities opened a criminal case under Art. 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Provision of services that do not meet the requirements of the safety of life or health of consumers").
