The Society of Russian Doctors (OVR) has joined the “Christmas tree of desires” charity event and encourages Russians to also take part in it and fulfill the child's dream, said OVR President Oleg Yanushevich.
“This action is for all caring people, which calls on not only politicians, officials, businessmen, but also ordinary people to take part. I am sure that Russian doctors will respond to this bright initiative. We, the Society of Physicians of Russia, are ready to get involved as much as possible and fulfill the wishes of children from 3 to 17 years old with disabilities, as well as orphans and children from low-income families,”the words of Yanushevich are quoted on the website of the Moscow State University of Medicine and Dentistry named after A. I. Evdokimova.
Earlier, the National Association of Honored Doctors and Mentors supported the all-Russian campaign "The Tree of Desires".
Let us remind you that the "Wish Tree" campaign of the "Dream with Me" charity project was launched in early December, but now more than 10 thousand postcards have been dismantled by performers in different parts of the country. Compared to last year, the number of applications has more than doubled - from 12 to 26 thousand.
Earlier, President Vladimir Putin fulfilled the wish of a seriously ill child from the Tula Region, who wanted to hug a panda, as part of the "Wish Tree" campaign. Sasha visited the Moscow Zoo, got acquainted with a live panda and visited a special area for animal trainings.
Alexey Kolyasnikov, the father of ten-year-old Sasha, told the VZGLYAD newspaper that thanks to the "Christmas tree of desires" Sasha believed in himself, his self-esteem grew. “Such projects are especially important for children with disabilities,” said the man.
