In Kyzyl, a seven-month-old girl died due to a drunk Russian woman who fell asleep with her on the street. This was reported on the website of the Directorate of the Investigative Committee for the Republic of Tyva.
According to the agency, the woman who took the girl is an acquaintance of her parents. On December 5, the couple drank alcohol with a friend, at some point she took the baby and left the house. On the way, she fell asleep, and when she woke up, she found that the child was cold.
The girl's body was found on December 6 with signs of frostbite. The UK found out that the girl's family is registered as dysfunctional, her mother and father abuse alcohol. The 40-year-old mother of the child had previously been deprived of parental rights for her three older children.
The parents could not explain how their daughter ended up on the street. Their acquaintance was charged under paragraph 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code (Murder of a Minor), and she was taken into custody. The Investigative Committee also opened a criminal case under Article 293 of the Criminal Code (“Negligence”) against the prevention authorities.
Earlier it was reported that in the Chelyabinsk region, a three-year-old girl froze to death in the hallway of a private house. Her 23-year-old mother said that the child had sleepwalking and allegedly often got up at night, lay on the floor, but never went out into the hallway. The girl's body was found on December 4, the day before the family celebrated the birthday of the woman's youngest, one-year-old daughter. The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case against the Russian woman under Part 1 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code ("Causing death by negligence").
