Masks can be dangerous for children and are not recommended for those under the age of three. This was stated by a pediatrician, head of the press service of the Federal State Autonomous Institution "National Medical Research Center of Children's Health" of the Ministry of Health of Russia Daria Akoeva, RIA Novosti reports.

Akoyeva explained that wearing a mask on a child can interfere with normal breathing and make it difficult. The pediatrician clarified that the child may not understand that he began to choke, and the parents may not notice it in time.
This is due to the physiological characteristics of the respiratory system of children of this age - they do not know how to regulate breathing, as adults do, the expert added.
Earlier, a dermatologist said that when choosing between an antiseptic and gloves, it is more correct to prefer gloves to protect the skin from the effects of disinfectants. If using antiseptics, it is best to choose those that do not contain alcohol to avoid drying out the skin. After washing and processing, hands must be lubricated with emollient creams.
