Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Pyotr Tolstoy said that maternity capital should be increased for the birth of each child. According to him, the changes made with this payment did not make the families better off.
According to Tolstoy, mother capital in Russia should be progressive and really help parents, but he himself did not notice such positive changes. In his opinion, families in the Russian Federation become poorer when children are born, when this should have happened the other way around.
- He (mother capital - ed.) Should increase for the birth of each subsequent child, because the family in which children are born should become richer, not poorer. Now exactly the opposite is happening in our country, '' Tolstoy said, reports TASS.
The Deputy Chairman noted that in Russia it is necessary to help large families with the organization of life. For example, to include for such priority places in kindergartens, as well as to include the period of caring for a child up to three years in the work experience. According to the politician, the main thing is not to count it only by the minimum wage, but to choose another "acceptable bar".
As Lifedd.ru reminds, for the first child in Russia in 2021 they began to give out almost 500 thousand rubles, and for the next - about 650 thousand. After indexation, the increase was 3.7%.
Earlier it became known that the deputies submitted to the State Duma an expanded list of recipients of maternity capital.
