From July 1, 2020, a monthly cash payment has been introduced to families with children from 3 to 7 years old, and families will receive this money retroactively, starting from January 1, - Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova said today at a briefing at the White House.
"Many parents today are forced to remain in self-isolation and not work, so the government has brought the possibility of this payment as close as possible. From June 1, we will be able to provide it," the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized.
To receive money, it is enough to submit an application through the MFC or the portal of public services; additional documents will not be required, since they will be collected automatically within the framework of interdepartmental interaction.
Payments will begin on June 1 and will cover 2 million children, said Tatiana Golikova, and in June parents will receive the amount calculated from January 1.
The amount is equivalent to half of the child's subsistence minimum - about 5.5 thousand rubles a month. Also, Golikova recalled, a decision was made on additional support for families with children - this is a one-time payment for 10 thousand families from June 1, 2020. 197.2 billion rubles are provided for these payments. Aid during April-June will receive 27 million people.
“Another important payment, which the president announced, is an increase in the minimum amount of childcare benefits for those mothers who have no work experience and, accordingly, receive a minimum benefit of 3,376 rubles,” Golikova said. “This amount will double and will amount to 6751.5 rubles ". According to the government's calculations, there will be 300 thousand such recipients.
