SAINT PETERSBURG, February 25. / TASS /. The temporary infectious diseases hospital at the site of the Lenexpo exhibition complex in St. Petersburg stopped receiving patients with coronavirus and went into reserve. This was reported by the press service of the city health committee.
"Due to a decrease in the number of patients with the new coronavirus infection COVID-19, the last operating pavilion 5 at Lenexpo with 295 beds has stopped work. Final disinfection began there today. Personnel from Lenexpo returned to work at the main sites of the Hospital for War Veterans in Narodnaya and Starorusskaya streets, "the message says.
The committee also explained that all beds in the Lenexpo pavilions, previously converted to receive patients with coronavirus, were transferred to a reserve.
As of February 24, 7,759 beds were deployed in St. Petersburg for patients with COVID-19 and pneumonia, of which 31.3% are free.
