The ranks of the border detachment named after Vadim Matrosov, operating at the 61st school in Kursk, were replenished with 6B border cadets. It was not by chance that this day was chosen to take the oath.
February 17 marked the 105th anniversary of the birth of Lieutenant Alexander Romanovsky, whose platoon of 18 border guards managed to resist two hundred German soldiers during the battles on the Northern face of the Kursk Bulge. On the site of their last battle near the village of Teploye in Ponyrovskoye, they have long planned to open a memorial.

“With what pride the children solemnly pronounced the words:“loyalty, honesty, diligence, dignity,”said Alexander Goryainov, chairman of the regional Council of veterans-border guards, who was present at the meeting. - We hope they will not only study well and engage in military-sports training, but will also be able to endure difficulties, be worthy of the heroes of the older generation.
Each cadet was awarded the badge "Cadet School No. 61 named after Mikhin Petr Alekseevich".
