Russian families in which a child is born before March 31, 2021, inclusive, must apply for a lump sum payment of 5 thousand rubles, according to Nation News. The Pension Fund of Russia spoke about the possibility of financial assistance. Parents need to submit an application on the "Gosuslugi" portal or in person at the PFR client service. “In accordance with the decree of the President of Russia, a one-time payment is due to parents, adoptive parents, guardians and trustees of children under seven years old inclusive, and amounts to 5,000 rubles for each child in the family,” the statement says. The fund noted that last year, a monthly payment for children under 3 years old or a lump sum payment for children from 3 to 16 years old, an additional payment was provided automatically in December. In total, the money was paid for 13.7 million children. If the child appeared in the family after July 1, 2020, or the parents did not apply for any of the payments for children that the FIU provided during the past year, then the application must be submitted independently. This must be done by March 31, 2021.
