For almost a year, the benefit was automatically renewed without a claim. According to the Ministry of Labor, this helped to minimize the number of citizens' appeals to social protection agencies and territorial divisions of the Pension Fund during the spread of the coronavirus from April 1, 2020 to March 1, 2021.
Now, as before, before the start of the pandemic, in order to extend the payment, citizens need to apply with a package of documents to the social protection body or the multifunctional center for the provision of state and municipal services (MFC).
The new appointment will follow from the moment of contacting the authorized bodies. Moreover, the application will need to be submitted annually, that is, when the child reaches one and two years of age. It will also be required in the event of a family change of residence.
The Ministry of Labor drew attention to the fact that the declarative procedure for assigning payments during a pandemic was not canceled, which means that when applying for them for the first time, an application was always required.
Payments in the amount of the subsistence minimum per child are provided to families with an average per capita income below two subsistence minimums per person from the federal budget for the first child, from maternity capital for the second child. In 78 regions there are payments for the third and / or subsequent children.
The Ministry of Labor recalled that this measure of social support is being implemented within the framework of the federal project "Financial support for families at the birth of children" of the national project "Demography".
