Supporting sports was identified as one of the key areas of work, because according to the national goals set by President Vladimir Putin, by 2030 the number of people involved in sports is expected to grow by 70%. “100 open-type sports and recreation complexes will be created, including new sports grounds, football fields and ice arenas, both in cities and in rural areas. All of them will be equipped with modern gymnastic apparatus, sports equipment, strength training equipment and will necessarily be adapted to train people with health limitations,”the Prime Minister commented. “The projects of the FOCOTs are typical - all of them will be equipped with modern gymnastic apparatus, sports equipment, strength training equipment and must be adapted for training people with disabilities. In turn, our Children's Sports party project will ensure that all of them are completed on time,”said Irina Rodnina, coordinator of the Children's Sports party project of United Russia. She also noted that additional funds for the development of sports were allocated at the initiative of "United Russia". “The construction of the facility in Arzamas is to be completed. Now the first stage of work has been completed there - the foundation has been prepared, and equipment will appear this year. The site will house a hockey rink, which in the summer will be used as a football ground, treadmills, street and workout simulators, and a tribune for spectators. It was decided that two more open-type sports and recreation complexes will be built this year in Nizhny Novgorod at the Krasnaya Etna stadium and in Dzerzhinsk,”said Vladimir Poddymnikov, regional coordinator of the Children's Sport party project, deputy of the Nizhny Novgorod City Duma.
