What social benefits will increase from February 1, 2021, said Oksana Krasovskaya, a leading lawyer of the European Legal Service. First of all, the amount of benefits for children will increase - both one-time at the birth of a child and monthly for caring for a minor.
Lump sum payments to women who are registered with medical organizations from the first months of pregnancy will also increase. The allowance provided to one of the adoptive parents when transferring a child to a family for upbringing will increase. In all cases, we are talking about an increase of 4.9%.
In addition, starting next month, not only payments to people who have been injured at work will be indexed, but also benefits for Heroes of Socialist Labor, holders of the Order of Labor Glory and Russians with other titles.
Speaking about social benefits, Polina Gusyatnikova, Senior Managing Partner of PG Partners Law Firm, noted that the grant for the funeral of pensioners will also increase by 4.9%. However, one should not expect an increase in pension from February. As a reminder, since January 2021, the pension for non-working seniors has increased by 6.3%.
