GU-Main Directorate of PFR 9 for Moscow and the Moscow Region, in connection with incoming requests and phone calls to the hotline, informs that changes in pension legislation have come into force in 2019, including: an increase in the generally established retirement age (65 years for men and 60 - for women), the emergence of the right to retire two years earlier for citizens with a long insurance record (42 years for men and 37 for women), social support for citizens of pre-retirement age, support for employment and retraining of older citizens.
Certain provisions of the law provide for earlier retirement for mothers with many children. Women who have given birth to five or more children will continue to receive a pension at the age of 50. In addition, a mother of three children will be able to retire early at 57 years old, and those who have given birth to four children - at 56. The main requirements for the onset of the right to early retirement are 15 years of insurance experience, the required number of pension points and the child's reaching the age of 8 years.
Head of the Main Department of Pension Fund 9 Lyudmila Tarasova recalls that the increase in the retirement age is gradual. The transition period lasts 10 years (until 2028), and each year the retirement age is shifted by one year until reaching 60 and 65 years for women and men, respectively. For those who retire in the next two years, the age threshold is reduced by six months, i.e. for those who must retire in 2019, the right comes later by six months, not a year. In 2020, the retirement age will come a year and a half later, not two.
