Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova, at a meeting of the Council on Trusteeship in the Social Sphere at the Russian Investment Forum, proposed introducing two types of food in schools: for children without health problems and for those with diabetes. According to the data, 42 thousand children with this diagnosis are currently living in Russia.

Now we have already made such a step forward that it is not at all necessary to point the finger at the child that he has diabetes. It is enough to divide the food menu at school into two groups: normal calorie content, low-calorie one. There will be no bread, no sweet compote and everything else. The child will not consider himself wounded from the point of view that if it says “for diabetics”, then it’s better not to go there, - quoted by TASS Golikova.

In addition, Golikova said that she would instruct the Ministry of Health to consider the possibility of increasing the volume of research aimed at detecting diabetes in children.

By the way, earlier the lawyer Tatyana Shilyuk told Letidor whether kindergartens and schools are obliged to draw up a separate menu for children with allergies.
