MOSCOW, December 1. / TASS /. Writer Boris Akunin on December 10 will present a new book "Tales of the Nations of the World" in electronic and audio formats. TASS was told about this on Tuesday in the press service of the Bookmate service.
"The writer has composed nine stories with familiar characters and non-standard plots, which will be interesting for both children and adults to immerse themselves in," the press service said, adding that the electronic version will be available on December 10, and from December 12 it will be possible to listen to the book in audio format.
Actors Veniamin Smekhov, Yegor Beroev, Yulia Peresild, Alexander Filippenko, Igor Yasulovich, Alexander Klyukvin, Sergey Chonishvili, Ingeborga Dapkunaite and Anna Chipovskaya took part in the recording of the audio version of the book.
In an interview with a TASS correspondent, Akunin noted that he wanted to work as a storyteller. “Maybe because now are some clearly unrealistic times,” he said.
According to him, the book consists of nine fairy tales. “This is a Japanese fairy tale, German, Russian, Arabic, Spanish, English, French, Jewish and Chinese, - Akunin shared. - The plots are not exactly familiar, but the characters and motives - of course. Dragons, genies, fairies, Baba Yaga. All, as it should be. But I treat them in my own way."
The writer said that in the audio version of the book the first fairy tale, Japanese, is read by Yegor Beroev, German - Anna Chipovskaya, Russian - Alexander Klyukvin, Arabic - Veniamin Smekhov, Spanish - Julia Peresild. Ingeborga Dapkunaite is reading a French fairy tale; circus, Jewish - Alexander Filippenko, Chinese - Igor Yasulovich.
