On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the first manned flight into space, Children's Radio and Roscosmos held a drawing competition Children's Radio in Space.

The purpose of the competition is to help Russian children dreaming of conquering the Universe to turn their dreams into first space achievements. The competition received about 3000 drawings on the theme "We are in space!" from boys and girls from all over the country. The guys portrayed different space stories: a meeting with aliens, unusual space landscapes, spacecrafts of the future.
The competent jury, which included not only representatives of Roscosmos and cosmonauts, but also professional artists, had a difficult task to choose and evaluate the best works. As a result, ten best works were selected, which will go to the International Space Station. The first five of the best of the best were determined by the jury, and the second five were chosen by popular vote.
- My dream is to visit space! See our Earth! And I also want to give our sun a flower, - said six-year-old Arina Serdyuk from Ulyanovsk.
Before being sent into space, children's works will first undergo a "survey" for safety, then they will be packed in accordance with all the rules for the transportation of space cargo and sent to Baikonur. The drawings will be delivered aboard the Soyuz spacecraft to the ISS. On Cosmonautics Day, April 12, the Russian crew will unpack the drawings, secure them so that they do not float in zero gravity, and create the first ever Children's Space Gallery.
