According to the press service of the Leningrad Region Legislative Assembly, the meeting was attended by the chairman of the permanent commission on social policy and labor relations of the regional parliament Marina Levchenko and her deputy, coordinator of the "Strong Family" party project Lyudmila Teptina, representatives of the Government of the Leningrad Region, the regional Council of Fathers under the Commissioner on the rights of the child in the Leningrad region, the All-Russian public-state organization "Union of Women of Russia", as well as other consultative and advisory bodies.

In turn, the establishment of the holiday was supported by the chairman of the youth policy committee Alexei Orlov, the chairman of the Public Chamber of the region Yuri Trusov, as well as unanimously members of the regional Council of Fathers under the Ombudsman for the Rights of the Child in the Leningrad Region.
Recall that since 2020, lump-sum payments for the birth of children have increased in the Leningrad region - for the first child - 33 thousand, the second - 44, and the third - 55 thousand rubles. The increase in the size of the allowance was 10% for the 1st child, 46.7% for the 2nd, and 83.3% for the 3rd and subsequent children.
In addition, for large families, a single criterion of need was established, equal to 100% of the average income in the Leningrad Region (31,900 rubles in 2020), which determines the right to receive monthly monetary compensation for part of the expenses related to paying for housing and utilities.
