On the eve of the Commission for Emergency Situations discussed the safety of children's summer camps. The meeting was attended by the first vice-governor of the Orenburg region Sergey Balykin and the heads of regional ministries and departments of the region.
One of the main topics of discussion was the fire safety of children in summer recreation establishments. In this regard, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Orenburg region carried out inspections and preventive measures.
“As part of the preparation, 97% of the objects of summer recreation and health improvement of children have been covered. Checks continue in four out-of-town children's camps and in one sanatorium and recreation camp of year-round operation,”explains Alexander Kharlamov, head of the department of state fire supervision and preventive work of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Orenburg region.
According to the results of inspections in 91 children's summer recreation institutions (which is 8% of their total number), fire safety violations were revealed. The perpetrators were brought to administrative responsibility. The managers of the summer recreation facilities were obliged to eliminate all violations before the arrival of the children.
