The condition of the Kaliningrad schoolchild, who received a gunshot wound earlier this week, remains grave. This was told by the doctors of the medical institution where the boy was hospitalized.

- The incident took place in one of the apartments of this high-rise building. There are few details so far. The child is known to have received a gunshot wound. According to preliminary data, neighbors called for help to the victim. That is, the parents, most likely, were not at home at that moment.
According to preliminary data, two children in the absence of adults decided to play with weapons. In the process of such entertainment, an accidental shot occurred. The injury turned out to be very serious, but the doctors managed to save the child's life.

- It's hard now, but stable. In fact, nothing threatens life. The injury was very serious. In fact, this is a combat gunshot wound. At the time of admission, it was a very serious condition.
According to the rules, weapons should be stored in a safe and only in a discharged state. The magazine, cartridges and barrel in this form must be in place before arriving to hunt. Experts believe that in this case these requirements were most likely violated.
Yuri Streltsov, head of the regional shooting sports club DOSAAF:
- Rifled weapons of this option are difficult to equip. The pump is even heavier. Now, if the butt is not folded back, it will not fire, it will not work, it will not be removed from the fuse. That will not go further. Most likely it was charged. That is, I just took off the fuse and indulged in it.
Whether there was a weapon in the house legally remains to be found out by law enforcement officers. On the fact of the incident, the regional Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs is conducting an inspection.
