Anna Kuznetsova, Commissioner for the Rights of the Child under the President of the Russian Federation, asks the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation to clarify the rules for the use of rooms for mothers and children at airports by large families, which, according to current regulations, are actually limited in this opportunity. This was announced on Wednesday by the press service of the children's ombudsman.
According to her information, Kuznetsova received an appeal from a mother with many children, who complained that she was not allowed to enter the room of the mother and child at the airport with her children, justifying this by the action of the rule for visiting the room "one adult - one child."
"Under such a rule, a passenger traveling with two or more children cannot use this service," the press service of the authorized representative states, recalling that at the same time, the order of the Ministry of Transport obliges carriers to organize a number of services at departure points and at intermediate points. including the provision of rooms for mothers and children for a passenger with a child under the age of seven.
In this regard, Kuznetsova sent a letter to the Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Yevgeny Dietrikh, in which she "asks to clarify the wording in the rules in order to avoid their ambiguous interpretation, leading to restrictions on the admission of passengers with two or more children to the rooms of the mother and child, and to bring the relevant information to carriers ", said the press service of the children's ombudsman.
