It may be prohibited to disembark children and adolescents under 16 years of age from public transport without a ticket. The State Duma plans to consider the corresponding bill at the plenary sessions of the spring session.
We are talking about minors who travel unaccompanied by adults.
The bill also provides for the empowerment of the subjects of the Federation to approve the procedure for controlling the payment of travel, baggage and carry-on baggage. This applies to regular transport routes within a region or between regions.
As earlier, when considering the document in the first reading, the Deputy Minister of Transport Dmitry Zverev clarified, it was proposed to amend the Charter of road transport and urban land electric transport.
The current version of the Charter provides that control over the availability of a ticket and baggage receipts should be carried out, but at the same time it does not determine the circle of persons who are obliged to do this. There are also gaps in the establishment of responsibility for free travel by road, Zverev noted.
