The regions provide baby food to babies based on the budgetary possibilities. But dairy kitchens are not everywhere. So it turns out that dairy kitchens work in North Ossetia, and in the Stavropol Territory, artificially fed babies receive only dry formula, and they are irregular.

Dairy kitchens in the Stavropol Territory are a thing of the past long ago. They were replaced by dry mixes and cereals. Infants who are bottle-fed should receive them for up to a year, and those who are underweight and anemic should receive them up to three years. But everything is not easy with the provision, parents from Essentuki, Ipatovsky, Kochubeevsky, Izobilnensky districts complain.
“In Izobilnoye, they tell us from month to month that there is no food,” said the mother of a seven-month-old baby, Yulia Apasheva. - At the end of February, they gave out one pack of milk formula in three months. And in the queue, I heard that some were given five packs each.”
Elena Evdokimova in Stavropol received food regularly for her first daughter 10 years ago, and in Solnechnodolsk, only six packs were given to her second daughter in nine months of her life.
“I immediately wrote a statement to the clinic that my child was artificial. I'm waiting for baby food to be served. We come to see the pediatrician, they tell us that there was no application from us, - said Elena. - Then they gave out two packs, but not at all the mixture that I asked for. My child is allergic, not everything is possible for him. But in the clinic they say: we give what we buy. My friend lives in Stavropol, and they give me two packs every month."
However, in Stavropol, there are interruptions in the supply of infant formula. In children's polyclinic 3, all meals for January were given at the very end of the month, and not every week, as usual.
To the complaint of Elena Evdokimova, Deputy Minister of Health of the Territory Natalya Kozlova replied that the average standard for providing food for one child in the Stavropol Territory is only 2177.2 rubles per year. And in fact, as indicated in the same official letter from the Ministry of Health, less can be allocated for one baby, because it depends on the number of recipients of the mixture in the clinic! More artificial - less porridge for everyone. In order for mothers not to be very indignant, the ministry reminds that social support "does not replace parental involvement in the child's nutrition."
Dairy kitchens
Children in other regions of the North Caucasus Federal District are also deprived of baby food. In Nalchik, the dairy kitchen on Lenin Avenue was closed several years ago. And mothers do not receive food for babies even in dry form, despite the current republican law "On providing adequate nutrition for pregnant women, nursing mothers, as well as children under the age of three years."
“For the eldest son, when I lived in the Astrakhan region, from birth until the age of three, we received cereals, milk mixtures, milk, kefir, fruit purees in jars and juices,” said Elena Mikhailova. - Here, the only thing that was given to us for free for the youngest son is antipyretic after one of the vaccinations. He is already a year and three years old, and we are not counting on anything else. A friend's child is now bottle-fed, they also buy formula for him themselves. They were told that the dairy kitchen does not work."
But in North Ossetia, babies are given not dry "food", but natural dairy products. Although not everything is smooth there. Before the New Year, the doctor of the Alagir central regional hospital, Alexander Tsomaev, told reporters that he had not received money for the purchase of dairy products. After the holidays, he was unexpectedly fired, and some media outlets linked this to his statement about baby food. The deputy head of the new hospital, Taisiya Kozaeva, explained that the delay in the delivery of the "milk" was only a few days.
“We give out milk, kefir, cottage cheese to children under three years old as prescribed by the district pediatrician,” she clarified. - Mothers must bring a document to the clinic that their family is poor. We have such dairy kitchens in other regions of the republic, and in Vladikavkaz. Everyone is happy."
