On board the Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky-Khabarovsk plane, a three-month-old child with a heart defect died. It is reported by "Kam 24".
According to the mother of the deceased child, doctors identified a heart defect in her premature son, who was born at the 27th week. On this flight, they flew for surgery to the Federal Center for Cardiovascular Surgery in Khabarovsk. The woman complained that during the flight her son was constantly sleeping, and that it was stuffy and hot on board.
"The attending physician assured me that the child will fly … with full control of vital functions," said the child's mother.
However, the baby and the woman were on a regular flight. The child, connected to a ventilator, was on the lap of one of the doctors. Before the decline, the baby had a heart attack and after a while he repeated several more times.
The woman noted that the child's heart stopped beating 20 minutes before landing.
It is known that the mother of the deceased baby wrote a complaint to the Ministry of Health and is preparing a request to the prosecutor's office, since her son was not provided with the necessary conditions for transportation.
The regional department has already begun an investigation into the death of the baby.
