Doctors operated on a beaten girl from Ingushetia, amputating the hand and forearm of her right hand. This was reported to the Moscow City News Agency by the press service of the Scientific Research Institute (SRI) of Emergency Pediatric Surgery and Traumatology of the Moscow Healthcare Department.
“Today, the first stage of surgical treatment of the girl's right hand took place, the dead part of the hand, including the hand and forearm, was removed. The operation went well within expectations. Treatment continues, "- said the agency's interlocutor.
Earlier, the president of the Research Institute of Emergency Pediatric Surgery and Traumatology, Leonid Roshal, told reporters that the doctors had decided on an operation to amputate a part of the right hand of a beaten girl from Ingushetia.
The beaten seven-year-old girl was brought from Ingushetia to Moscow at the Research Institute of Emergency Pediatric Surgery and Traumatology on July 5 in a serious condition with crush syndrome of the right and left arms, multiple injuries to the skin of the trunk, massive burns of the buttocks, with signs of intoxication and high rates of inflammation markers. During examination at the institute, the child was diagnosed with old fractures of the ribs, both arms, compression fractures of individual vertebrae and untreated congenital dislocation of the left hip joint.
Before that, the child with numerous bruises and injuries was taken from the foster family to one of the hospitals in Ingushetia. Doctors recorded fractures in the child, as well as gangrene of the arm. The patient was operated on, the doctors managed to save a badly injured hand. It was also noted that the child was allegedly beaten in a foster home. On suspicion of cruel treatment of the girl, her aunt was detained. A criminal case was initiated. The court chose a measure of restraint in the form of detention for the suspect in the ill-treatment of her niece.
