The authors of the initiative hope so much to help mothers get an education.

The Ministry of Labor of the Russian Federation is thinking about creating special rooms for children in institutions of higher and secondary specialized education. In such places, mothers will be able to leave babies under the age of those years, and they themselves will master new professions or improve their qualifications. This is reported by Izvestia with reference to the detailed schedule for the implementation of the state program "Promotion of employment of the population" for 2019 and the period 2020-2021.
According to the document, by November 1, the ministry expects from its employees and representatives of universities and colleges "proposals on the organization of childcare for children under three years of age in vocational education organizations." It is expected that about 250 thousand Russian women will want to use this service for free until 2024. And this means that without leaving their decree, a woman will be able to gain new knowledge without worrying about who to leave her children with during classes.
While the department is developing a standard questionnaire for mothers with preschool children. If the survey reveals the need for children's rooms, the Ministry of Labor will prepare appropriate proposals and submit them to the Ministry of Education.
Experts interviewed by the publication note that it will not be easy to implement the initiative - such premises must meet a variety of requirements of Rospotrebnadzor and the Ministry of Emergency Situations. Nevertheless, it is quite possible to create play areas like in shopping centers. And the National Parents' Committee noticed that such an innovation could be of great help for those mothers who have no one to leave their babies with.
Note that play areas and children's rooms have already begun to appear in different places, where women sometimes need to transfer their children to someone else or just to entertain them. For example, in the next two years, children's play areas and rooms for mothers and children for caring for babies will be equipped at all railway stations in the capital.
