VORONEZH, June 11 - RIA Novosti. An eight-year-old boy survived in the Kaluga region, having fallen from the window of an apartment on the fifth floor, from where he tried to get out after he was closed by his father who had gone to work in Moscow for several days, the regional prosecutor's office reported on Thursday.

The tragedy occurred on the afternoon of June 10 in the city of Kirov, Kaluga region.
"The father raising the child left for Moscow for several days in order to earn money and closed the door, leaving the young son alone in the apartment. The child, trying to go out through the window of the apartment on the 5th floor, fell out of it," the message says.
According to the supervisory authority, the child received "multiple bodily injuries" and is now in intensive care.
"In connection with the incident, the prosecutor's office checks the observance of the rights of an 8-year-old child, including by his legal representative, the bodies of the system for the prevention of neglect and juvenile delinquency," the prosecutor's office informs.
The Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in the Kaluga Region also announced the start of a procedural check on the fact of the child's fall. "According to the preliminary version, the boy went out onto the balcony of the apartment, saw his acquaintances on the street and jumped out to them. The child received fractures, body bruises, his health is stable," the investigation said.
The investigation also notes that the boy's mother is deprived of parental rights, and the family is not registered with preventive care. Investigators establish the circumstances of the incident, find out the child's living conditions.
