SEVASTOPOL, December 18. / TASS /. The emergence of a medical cluster, within which several hospitals will be built and medical education will be developed, will bring the healthcare system in Sevastopol to a new level, Governor of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozhaev said in an interview with TASS to the founder of the Vera hospice fund, director of the Moscow multidisciplinary palliative care center Anna Federmesser.
"The medical cluster is a very serious project. A project for the next five years. This will allow to transfer medicine to another level. But this is not only the buildings themselves, of course, it is a management system, new medical personnel, including those from private medicine," said Razvozhayev, noting that we are talking about specialists who "left in a certain period, because it was not interesting."
He clarified that it is planned not only to build an infectious diseases hospital, an emergency hospital and an oncological center, but also to develop a medical education system. "I want to make a cluster - a building [for a medical college], a hostel, conditions for students. I really want a higher medical education to appear in Sevastopol," the head of the city explained.
New hospitals
Earlier it was reported that three new buildings for hospitals are planned to be built on a single site in Sevastopol. RT-SotsStroy LLC (a structure of the Rostec state corporation) has already undertaken the construction of an ambulance hospital and an oncology center on the site of the medical cluster, it can also become a contractor for the third facility to be built on this site - a new building hospitals.
The oncological dispensary will have 150 round-the-clock hospital beds, 30 day hospital beds and 100 visits per shift. In a four-storey building with an area of over 33 thousand square meters. m, it is planned to locate departments of diagnostics, general oncology, radiation therapy, outpatient chemotherapy, computer and magnetic resonance imaging rooms.
The ambulance hospital will consist of five buildings from three to eight floors; a plot of 6.9 hectares will be allocated for construction. The total area of the medical facility will be about 55 thousand square meters. m, it is designed for 470 beds and 200 visits per shift. There are five blocks: an operating room (with an admission department), a diagnostic, a laboratory, a hospital and a catering unit.
The separate building of the new infectious diseases hospital was supposed to house a center for the prevention and control of infectious diseases. The buildings will have an admission and resuscitation department, a hospital for the treatment of adults and children, a polyclinic with a diagnostics department and a block of advisory rooms, and a laboratory.
