J. K. Rowling has released a new book - its sales officially started today, November 10. Is this a new Harry Potter book, another offshoot of the Scar Boy story? No, from today you can buy the book "Ikabog" in stores, a fairy tale for younger readers, which will surely captivate both children and parents.

And no, "Ikabog" is not a new book about Harry Potter, it has nothing to do with the universe in which Hogwarts is located and where magicians and Muggles live.
J. K. Rowling wrote a children's fairy tale about the kingdom called Cornicopia. Once upon a time, Cornicopia was a glorious and pleasant place: such goodies were prepared here that those who tried them cried with happiness. The people lived well and happily, and the cheerful king sported a beautiful mustache. But from the gloomy Smurland, located in the north of Cornicopia, ominous rumors came about a monster named Ikabog. They frightened children who did not want to go to bed, but one day it turned out that a terrible fairy tale was ready to turn into reality. The creature threatens to defeat the king and end the well-being of the kingdom - will Cornicopia manage to avoid this fate? A dangerous adventure begins today!
The tale of Ikaboga has long been heard - J. K. Rowling published its chapter after chapter on the official website absolutely free. It was in the midst of a general lockdown, when children around the world were forced to stay at home for weeks. Even then, Rowling announced plans to publish all the chapters under one cover and invited the children to draw pictures for the future book. The Russian edition is illustrated with the works of children from St. Petersburg, Perm, Moscow and other cities of Russia. Below are a few of them:

If you do not lose hope of getting a new book about Harry Potter from Rowling, you are forced to disappoint: it seems that she intends to keep her promise and will no longer write a continuation of the story. So all that remains is to read Rowling's other books, rejoicing that the talent of the storyteller is still with her.
