The authorities of the Leningrad region have canceled the restrictions, which were set due to the coronavirus pandemic, on parents' attendance at children's holidays. Kindergartens, schools and additional sections will hold congratulations on International Women's Day in full-time format. This was reported on February 25 by the press service of the regional administration.

We will remind that the Governor of the Leningrad Region Alexander Drozdenko announced the corresponding instruction during today's meeting of the regional government.
“Now the situation with the coronavirus is much calmer. Parents have already missed the matinees in kindergartens and the performances of their children in circles, sections and in schools - they have not seen congratulations for a whole year,”he explained.
According to the Committee for General and Professional Education of the Leningrad Region, the decision on the possibility of parents visiting children's holidays was made jointly with Rospotrebnadzor. Letters have already been sent to educational institutions of the region about the possibility of holding events in compliance with sanitary standards.
In particular, it is necessary to ensure social distancing, the presence of masks, hand treatment, and ventilation of the premises. In addition, one of the conditions is the separation of streams of children from different groups.
