The military was not paid child benefits, not recognizing his residence in Volgograd

On April 2, in the Dzerzhinsky district of Volgograd, a serviceman from St. Petersburg achieved social benefits for his large family.
- The 37-year-old contract serviceman of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation in August 2017 moved from St. Petersburg with his wife and three minor children to Volgograd, - the press service of the Volgograd Region Prosecutor's Office told V1. RU. - The man was transferred to a new place of service and he registered at the place of stay, where he has been living for the last two years.
The two older children of the military go to school, and his wife is on maternity leave.
- 14-year-old and 10-year-old sons study at schools in Volgograd. The soldier's wife is caring for a one-year-old girl, the prosecutor's office explained. - When the couple applied to the social security authorities to receive benefits required by law, they were denied registration of the family as having many children. They were not given the appropriate certificate.
In the bodies of social protection they found an explanation for this.
- The refusal was motivated by the lack of confirmation of the fact of permanent residence of the family on the territory of the Volgograd region, - specified in the supervisory authority. - But this fact was established following the results of the prosecutor's check. The Dzerzhinsky District Court recognized this, and now the military's family has no grounds for refusing child benefits by the social protection authorities.
