VOLGOGRAD, November 22 - RIA Novosti. Nina Boldyreva, Ombudsman for the Rights of the Child in the Volgograd Region, told RIA Novosti that she took control of the situation with the death of a ninth-grader, who may have been a member of the so-called "death groups" on social networks.
According to Boldyreva, a 15-year-old schoolboy died in Kamyshin, but she does not know the details of his death.
"The Investigative Committee is conducting an investigation within the framework of a criminal case initiated under the article 'incitement to suicide'. This incident has been taken under my control," Boldyreva told the agency. She noted that the teenager is from a prosperous family, all his connections are checked, including in social networks.
Earlier, the publication "Public News Service" reported that the boy's mother believed that he was a member of the so-called "death groups" and someone forced him to commit suicide. The woman believes that the psychological state of her son was influenced by her divorce, as well as the mode of life changed due to the situation with the coronavirus - he spent a lot of time on the Internet, mainly at night. According to media reports, shortly before his death, the teenager called his girlfriend and asked if she would go with him - the girl refused. The publication reports that the body of a student was found in an abandoned hospital building.
