MOSCOW, June 1. / TASS /. More than 20 Moscow theaters organize performances on June 1 for 10,000 children with disabilities, from disadvantaged families and orphans. This was reported to TASS by a representative of the Russian Children's Fund.

"On this festive day, 22 leading Moscow theaters will acquaint young viewers with the best children's performances. The main event is the grand opening of the International Children's Day on the new stage of the Bolshoi Theater of Russia. After the performances, each of the 10 thousand children will receive a gift from the Russian Children's Fund - books and sweets, "- said the interlocutor of the agency.

Children from 26 regions of Russia will visit the theaters. Children from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Uzbekistan, Abkhazia, South Ossetia, Lugansk and Donetsk are also invited to the capital. "The children of the employees of the embassies accredited in Moscow - France, Germany, China, Italy, Spain, Austria, will also share with them the common joy," added the representative of the foundation.

For five days in the capital, children will be able to visit the Kremlin, the Victory Museum, the Tsaritsyno Museum-Reserve, the Cosmonautics Museum, the Borodino Battle Panorama Museum and the Moscow Zoo.

Symbolic awards

In addition, the Bolshoi Theater will host a ceremony to present one of the highest awards of the International Association of Children's Foundations - the Leo Tolstoy Gold Medal. She is awarded "for humanistic selfless efforts to protect childhood, demonstrated in all areas of human activity." In 2019, the award was given to the Director of the National Medical Research Center for Transplantology and Artificial Organs. V. I. Shumakova, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Chief Transplantologist of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation Sergei Gauthier.

And at the Moscow Musical Theater, under the artistic direction of Mikhail Shvydkoy, the authors of the best projects of the theatrical poster for the play "Miracles and Curales" will be awarded. More than 50 children from three to 12 years old took part in the competition.

Charity tournament

On June 2-3, Moscow will also host the Pass to the Future international charity ice hockey tournament, timed to coincide with the holiday. The competition will open a gala match with famous actors, athletes and public figures in the teams. As noted in the message of the All-Russian public aid organization "Under the Wing of Russia", the event will be held at the Center for Hockey Skills.

Actor Marat Basharov, TV presenter and public figure Sangadzhi Tarbaev, head of Fight Nights Global Kamil Gadzhiev, leader of the Uma2rman group Sergey Kristovsky and actor Yevgeny Pronin will take to the ice. "Hockey is a game that unites. In general, hockey is the same scene. The same partners, the same improvisation. Also, four teams of hockey players born in 2009-2010 from Moscow, Torzhok, Donetsk and Chisinau will take part in the tournament. The awards ceremony will take place on June 3, and will be attended by the People's Artist of Russia, a player of the Night Hockey League Igor Butman.
