Psychologist Natalya Naumova told why children often do not obey their parents, and gave advice on how to change the situation.

In an interview with FAN, she explained that children at all costs seek to receive a vivid emotional reaction from their parents.
“Ideally, if his parents praise him emotionally. Then the child will try to please the parents, to do what the parents like, to be praised and he will receive an emotional reaction. If this praise and emotional approval is very difficult to get, then the child will act in the opposite way: behave as badly as possible so that the parents shout or even knock louder. Then the child gets a very vivid emotion, albeit a negative one,”said Naumova.
The psychologist encourages parents to be aware of this problem.
“Parents usually praise when they are tired, and scold them honestly, sincerely and from the heart. Adults need to consciously change this concept. My clients, who managed to rebuild, although it is difficult, it is not possible in one day, see qualitative changes in the behavior of the child, especially in a large family,”the psychologist emphasized.
Earlier, the candidate of psychological sciences, family psychologist Natalya Manukhina, in an interview with the PolitExpert publication, gave recommendations on how to spend New Year's holidays with children.
