The Youth Center "Galaxy" in the Kuntsevo area announced the start of the "Native Language" reading competition. To participate in the creative competition, you must send your performance to e-mail ce[email protected] before February 15, the institution said.
“You can apply for the competition with any work, be it a poem, short story or story, or an excerpt from your favorite work. The main criterion is artistic reading, so that every viewer who sees the video performance can feel the mood and idea of the work,”the center said.
To demonstrate your theatrical and oratory skills and share your favorite literary work with the audience, you need to record the performance on video and send it to the center's e-mail. In the application, you must indicate the full name of the reader, age, name of the selected work and its author, as well as contact information.
As told in the institution, everyone can take part, there are no age and other restrictions. The results of the competition will be published on February 19 on the website, as well as in the center's social networks. All contestants will be awarded with diplomas for participation, and the winners will receive commemorative prizes.
About the holiday
The Native Language online competition is timed to coincide with the celebration of the International Mother Language Day. It has been celebrated on February 21 since 2000, each year the theme is determined, for example, in 2020 it was dedicated to the theme "Languages without Borders".
