There were reports on social networks that nicotine pills were distributed among schoolchildren. According to parents, they distribute them near schools and kindergartens.

“These candies are thrown at schools, glued to hanging advertisements, and children are picking them up and poisoning themselves. Sweets with a high nicotine content lead to inadequacy of the child,”writes Ekaterina SMIRNOVA from Kostroma.

In addition, in messengers in groups of Kostroma kindergartens and schools, parents send each other a frightening video. It shows a boy, about 8 years old, who apparently ate one of the nicotine candies. The child's hands are supported by the father, and the mother is trying to bring him to his senses, but the boy does not respond to words and gestures. It is not known whether a shocking video was made in Kostroma.

Recall that now in Russia there is only a ban on chewing tobacco - snus. The nicotine candies that parents are talking about have the same effect and consequences, but they have not yet been banned. The manufacturers changed the composition - they changed the tobacco for synthetic nicotine, which is why the tablets were no longer banned.

As the KT correspondent was told in the press service of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs, it is not yet possible to attract distributors of nicotine pills, because they are not prohibited. However, police regularly talk to schoolchildren about the dangers of nicotine candy and snus.

The Regional Duma insists that nicotine sweets be banned as soon as possible. The deputies are going to write an appeal to the Government and the State Duma.
