The criminal case against the Del spouses, accused of torturing eight young adopted children in Zelenograd, has been sent to court. This is reported by the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the capital.
According to the investigation, 39-year-old Svetlana Del and 58-year-old Mikhail Del were guardians of eight young children born in 2005-2012. From December 2014 to January 2017, the couple improperly fulfilled their responsibilities for their upbringing, the investigation said.
In particular, the adoptive parents did not take any part in the life of the children, treated them with disdain, rudely and abusively, did not care about their health, mental, physical and moral development, did not provide them with everything they needed.
In addition, the investigation established that the guardians systematically mistreated the wards, including repeatedly hitting the children with their hands and other improvised means.
In total, the Del family had 13 children - eight adopted, four adopted and one blood child. In January, authorities announced the termination of custody agreements for eight of the ten seized children.
