UFA, September 10. / TASS /. Sterlitamak city court sentenced a 44-year-old woman who worked as a nanny and repeatedly beat a child to three and a half years of imprisonment. This is stated on Monday in the press service of the prosecutor's office of Bashkiria.
"On September 10, the court sentenced the nanny to three years and six months of suspended imprisonment with a probationary period of three years, and also ordered her to pay the victims 65 thousand rubles," the report says.
The woman was found guilty under paragraph "b" of Part 2 of Art. 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Provision of services that do not meet the health safety requirements of consumers"), clause "d", part 2 of Art. 117 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Causing mental and physical suffering by systematic beatings and other violent actions").
The court found that in August 2017, the accused was hired through a social network by one of the Sterlitamak families as a nanny to care for an eight-month-old child. In December 2017, noticing hematomas in the baby's ear, his mother installed a video surveillance camera in the apartment. Watching the video confirmed that the woman beat the child throughout the day. So the woman, angry at the crying of the baby, "hit him, slapped on the head and body, pressed her face into the pillow," the prosecutor's office said.
The boy's mother called the police after watching the video. Initially, the accused denied her guilt, but after seeing the evidence, she confessed to the crime.
