MOSCOW, May 24 - RIA Novosti. Investigators in the Chelyabinsk region opened a case after checking on the death of two newborn children in a hospital in Magnitogorsk, according to the website of the RF IC.
According to the investigation, information was posted in the regional media that in May two newborns died in one of the children's hospitals in Magnitogorsk.
"Based on these facts, the investigative bodies of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in the Chelyabinsk Region organized pre-investigation checks, as a result of which two criminal cases were initiated on the grounds of crimes provided for by part two of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (causing death by negligence due to improper performance by a person of his professional duties) ", - the message says.
According to the investigation, on May 12, a newborn girl who was admitted in a serious condition from the maternity hospital died in the hospital, on May 16, a newborn boy who was discharged from the maternity hospital with his mother the day before died.
"As part of the investigation of criminal cases, a set of necessary investigative actions will be carried out and a legal assessment will be given to the actions of medical workers of a medical institution and a maternity hospital. The investigation of criminal cases has been taken under control by the head of the Investigative Department," the department reports.
