This time the masters presented 1400 works on the themes "Extraterrestrial Civilization", "Spacecraft", "New Year's Characters", "Christmas Decorations". The exhibition has already become traditional. The first time it was held five years ago, when the Museum of Cosmonautics opened in the Palace of Pioneers. This time there is a lot of work. In the new 2021, the world will celebrate the 60th anniversary of the space flight of Yuri Gagarin. “Kursk schoolchildren and kindergarten students took part in this opening day,” says Natalya Vorotyntseva, teacher-organizer, head of the Museum of Cosmonautics at the Palace of Pioneers and Schoolchildren in Kursk. - The oldest of them is already 17, the youngest is only five years old. High school students are now on distance learning, everyone missed their schoolmates. Perhaps this awakened the creative forces. This year there are very interesting works, 400 laureates. The children were given complete freedom of creativity. They used both modern traditional types of handicrafts and new technologies. The exhibition presents decoupage, papier-mâché, appliques, and amigurumi - knitted toys, and kanzashi - fabric decorations, and work with metal, as well as burning out, prototyping. The Grand Prix was awarded to 11-year-old Maxim Gerasimov, a student of School 54, for his work "Santa Yoda". In the role of space Santa Claus, he is one of the main characters of the fantastic saga "Star Wars". Yoda rushes through interplanetary space to congratulate everyone. Miracles are always expected in the New Year. Therefore, Yoda does not move in a spaceship, but on beautiful carved sleds. Maxim created his beloved hero using a 3D printer - the school acquired the latest equipment, winning the Grand Prix. - I became interested in 3D modeling for a long time, - says Maxim. “But now I started to take it seriously. We can work with a 3D printer in labor and computer science lessons. "Santa Yoda" was made under the guidance of Alexey Nasedkin, a technology teacher. He also worked in the classroom of a circle led by Alexey Alexandrovich. I made a program, entered certain sizes. In four hours, the 3D printer printed Yoda. I covered it with acrylic paints, and I made a sled in technology lessons using a jigsaw. I like sawing and slotting wood carving. This year, the Cosmic New Year exhibition is held virtually. We will be able to see the works of young masters on the official website of the Palace of Pioneers. But there will be a lot of spectators as never before - after all, everyone will be able to visit the exhibition this year, even without leaving home. Among the best works is “Celebrating the New Year on the Moon”. The author is six-year-old Victoria Gosteva from kindergarten 91 (Child Development Center). She is very fond of making applications, drawing, sculpting from plasticine. This time Vika created a UFO. In it, astronauts celebrate the New Year with representatives of extraterrestrial civilizations. The artist used tinsel, colored paper, and Christmas tree decorations for her layout. The flying object shines with lights. - Dad made the garland, - says Vika. - “New Year on the Moon” was helped by both my mother and teacher Tatyana Yurievna. I think everyone on my spaceship is having a lot of fun, because even on the moon everyone is together. Elena GAMOVA
