The previous record was November 1 - 18,665 cases. In addition, on Wednesday, a maximum was set for daily deaths in the country - 389 people became victims of the epidemic. Before that, the record was 366 - so many people died on October 29. In total, 29.2 thousand people died from COVID-19 in Russia. At the same time, Rosstat counted more than 45 thousand deaths from April to August. The department explained this by the inclusion in the statistics of cases when death occurred from diseases associated with coronavirus, as well as cases when COVID-19 was detected after a person's death. Rospotrebnadzor believes that by the spring of 2021, the incidence rate in the country will fall to last summer. At the same time, the chief freelance infectious disease specialist of the Russian Ministry of Health, Professor Vladimir Chulanov, said that the period of the second rise in incidence will be larger than the first. He predicted an increase in the number of infections in the next three weeks. After that, according to the expert, a recession may begin.
