Currently, there are children in the Uvat region who are in a difficult life situation. Such children often lack activities that would captivate them and help them realize themselves, to join the team of other children.

Workers of the leisure and cultural center of the Uvat municipal district, namely the children's library, undertook to rectify the situation. Its employees, with the support of the Native Towns social investment program of Gazprom Neft, implemented the MULTIveda project.

“The project is unique in that in each separate territory - in each village, the children can explore their own area, - explains the author of the project Natalya Mokrousova, - We have very closely linked library activities with local history, and we understand the need to study their native land, but we must was to make it interesting for children to learn everything related to the region”.

The librarians formed research teams that consisted of 12 groups of children and adolescents in each settlement in the district. The guys were looking for information, completing assignments - photographing landmarks, writing articles and even filming stories about honorary citizens. And also themed quests took place.

“It was very interesting, we went through the quest, we were given a map, we ran to different stations and looked for treasure, completing different tasks along the way,” Lisa tells MULTIved.

All the materials collected by the children formed the basis of the local history virtual game. Now, on a large interactive screen, children use it to study their native land, answering various questions and solving crosswords. It was transferred to schools, museums and libraries in the area. The electronic board itself is now used for other purposes, for example, for conducting open lessons in a children's library.

“Our primary task as librarians is to attract special attention to the institutions of the children of the group, the second task is to give such children a certain level of knowledge, moreover, so that they obtain this knowledge themselves in the process of quest games, various journeys through the territory of our region. In every rural settlement, the guys were engaged in intellectual work, - notes the head of the library system Elena Tamarova. - Now children are happy to come to the library and study the region with the help of games, and there are difficult questions, but they succeed. We now use the board for extracurricular activities, for children it is a novelty, we have no such thing anywhere else in Uvat”.

The MULTIveda project enables children from families in difficult life situations not only to engage in creative and educational activities, but also to spend time with their peers from more prosperous families, which contributes to an increase in the level of education of each child.
