The network of children's technoparks "Quantorium" will increase from seven to 85 centers by 2020, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Russian Federation Veniamin Kaganov said at a press conference in TASS.
"A task has been set (by the country's authorities - TASS note) to develop additional education in the scientific and technical direction. By the end of 2020, up to 85 children's technoparks" Quantoruim "will open, - said the deputy head of the department. system of additional education in the scientific and technical sphere.
Kaganov noted that the project is financed by federal and regional budgets, as well as large corporations and private business. "Such forms of PPP in the field of education will help our regions solve the important task of quality education for all. It is important that the project received political support, the support of the heads of regions, and most importantly real business, which provided a financial resource," the Deputy Minister said. In his opinion, this is an indicator that business representatives are beginning to see the need to create conditions for the emergence of young professionals who can work at the peak of technological development.
On Saturday, TASS hosted the opening ceremony of 17 centers of the Quantorium network of children's technoparks. There are seven technoparks in Russia now. In 2017, 17 more regions will start implementing the project, about 100 thousand children will be involved in the activities of technoparks.

Rosneft will be forgotten in three years,” Russian Presidential Aide Andrei Belousov said in his speech. In his opinion, the need to develop additional education in the scientific and technical sphere is due to the rapid pace of emergence and development of technologies in all spheres of life and business.
Children's Technoparks "Quantorium" are sites equipped with high-tech equipment aimed at training new highly qualified engineering personnel, developing, testing and introducing innovative technologies and ideas. Rostec, SIBUR Holding, Kamaz, Rosatom, Severstal, Gazprom and other Russian companies have become partners of the network that oversee scientific areas.
