Anastasia Rakova, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Social Development, thanked city services, doctors and Muscovites for their contribution to the fight against coronavirus infection over the past year.

“At the beginning of 2020, no one could have guessed what awaited us. Exactly a year ago, on January 28, on behalf of the Moscow Mayor, we organized an Operational Headquarters to control and monitor the situation with coronavirus to coordinate the work of all city services, constantly monitor, develop measures, and also promptly informing citizens about the current situation. From March 5 to this day we have been working around the clock. A year later we can say with confidence that our system has shown its effectiveness: all city services work harmoniously, as a single team, without delay accepting the necessary measures to combat the coronavirus, "Anastasia Rakova recalled.

The vice-mayor noted that the unified digital platform of Moscow healthcare has become a huge help, which made it possible to guide each patient from the moment of the first positive test to complete recovery.

Anastasia Rakova expressed her deepest gratitude to her colleagues who respond to all requests, to doctors who save lives for a day and a half, as well as to the townspeople who have been sympathetic and continue to treat restrictive measures.

"These 365 days were different - joyful and difficult, there were ups and downs, but we believe that the pandemic will end, we will return to our usual life. A steady downward trend in the number of new cases is already recorded today, and I sincerely hope that it will continue.", - Anastasia Rakova shared.
