The results of the work of the commission for minors and the protection of their rights for 2020 were summed up in Nizhny Novgorod, the press service of the city administration reported.
As it was told in the department of social policy of the administration of Nizhny Novgorod, starting from December 28, the social patrol congratulates children from disadvantaged families and families in difficult life situations, Happy New Year and Merry Christmas, giving them New Year's gifts as part of the annual action "Happy New year! ". During the inspection of social patrols, the responsible officers not only give gifts to children, but also make sure that their parents perform their duties properly, conduct preventive conversations with parents and adolescents.
According to the director of the city department of social policy, Galina Gurenko, at the past meetings of the KDNiZP, schedules for visiting families under interdepartmental control were drawn up and approved during the winter school holidays, New Year and Christmas holidays.
Experts spoke about the events held in the new online format in 2020. A total of 98 events were organized and held: round tables, seminars, competitions, contests, festivals, promotions, holiday programs of various topics, challenges, including the placement of thematic videos on meeting the standards of the All-Russian physical culture and sports complex "Ready for Labor and Defense" on the official websites Nizhny Novgorod health and recreation centers. In total, more than 39,000 students, students and working youth of Nizhny Novgorod took part in the event program.
In addition, in 2020, 3,240 preventive anti-drug activities, 119 sports events were held in cooperation with public youth and student organizations and associations.
Earlier it was reported that the head of the city of Nizhny Novgorod, Yuri Shalabayev, congratulated five-year-old Maxim Beskorovainov and fulfilled his dream, made at the "Christmas tree of desires".
According to his grandmother, Maxim planned a railway for the new year.
“We really hoped for a New Year's miracle, but did not even expect that the head of the city would come to visit us and give us a long-awaited gift,” Natalya Prokhorovayu said.
