In the equestrian center of the center, children with disabilities undergo rehabilitation, communicating with horses.
Pupils of the Nadezhda zoo center in Nizhny Novgorod received gifts from the mayor of the city, Yuri Shalabayev, according to the public relations and media department.
The equestrian school was opened in the Sortirovochny microdistrict as early as 30 years ago, and in 2019 it was included in the city project "Hope", thanks to which children with disabilities undergo rehabilitation by interacting with animals. Over the years, hippotherapy (communication with horses) has established itself as an extremely effective method in many countries around the world.
As the head of the administration of the Kanavinsky district, Oleg Aleshin, who presented gifts from the mayor, noted, the equestrian school contains more than 40 horses, which receive not only the food they need, but also care. In addition to the fact that the center trains excellent athletes, it helps young Nizhny Novgorod residents with disabilities to recover faster, and also improves their health and mood. At the same time, a special trainer works with the kids.
“On New Year's Eve, we organized a holiday for our pupils. In addition to equestrian sports, a cynological department appeared in the center in September. In January, we plan to hold a cynological competition for the first time,”said Nikolay Bankov, director of the Nadezhda municipal center.
