Irina dedicated the publication on the social network to her Soviet childhood.
“Children are always in a hurry to grow up, and adults want to return to childhood. Today I sat with Kira and listened to the good old songs "The Winged Swing", "The Clock Strikes on the Old Tower" from the movie "The Adventures of Electronics", "What They Teach in School". I thought that today all this is lost. There used to be pioneers, we drew wall newspapers. And the children were completely different! Some kind of soulfulness, trepidation, correctness, in some way, has been lost,”Irina Slutskaya reflected on the younger generation.
The athlete added that she would like to be back in the world as she felt it in childhood. “But those feelings that we had in childhood are no longer there. There are no voices, warm, meaningful songs, that legendary music …”, - she wrote on Instagram.
