The issue of queues in kindergartens has been resolved in almost all regions of the Russian Federation, work in this direction continues, there is money for this, said Russian Minister of Education Olga Vasilyeva in an interview with the Right to Know program on TVC.
"In Russia, in almost all regions, except four, the issue of queues in kindergartens from three to seven (years - ed.) Has been resolved, work in this direction is intensifying, and we have money for this," Vasilyeva said.
The Minister stressed that a new program "Construction of kindergartens" has been created, aimed at creating additional places for children from two months to three years.
"I understand the problem of Dagestan, next year 18 preschool institutions will be built there according to the program. Of course, I do not think that this will completely resolve the issue, because it is very important that there are really many babies there, and, thank God, they are born there. ", - concluded Vasilyeva, answering a question about overcrowding in kindergartens, in particular in Dagestan.
Earlier, Vasilyeva said that as part of the execution of the instructions of the President, the Ministry of Education and Science developed a departmental project aimed at creating additional places for children from two months to three years old in preschool education organizations for 2018-2020. Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev reported that the authorities allocated 49 billion rubles from the federal budget to create additional places in kindergartens, 24.5 billion each in 2018 and 2019. Later, Medvedev said that some regions of the Russian Federation are ready to solve the problem of creating additional places in kindergartens without federal financial assistance; in the course of a more effective redistribution of funds in 20 regions, it will be possible to create another 5.5 thousand places.
