A new kindergarten for 260 places was opened in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, this year the preschool institution will accept four groups of children under four years old. This was reported on Saturday on the website of the government of the Kamchatka Territory.

“A new kindergarten for 260 children has opened in the capital of Kamchatka. The building consists of five blocks connected by a transitional gallery. One of the rooms has a swimming pool for general health and strengthening activities, as well as a music and sports hall. The facility is equipped with a modern heating system and equipped with weather sensors,”the message says.
Kindergarten this year will be attended by four groups of children aged 1.5 to four years.
“Today in the region there is no queue for children from three to seven years old. Now we have to solve an equally important task - providing places for children aged from two months to three years. That is why we continue to build gardens in different districts of the region,”the words of the Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Kamchatka Territory Vladimir Prigornev are quoted in the message.
Kamchatka in 2018, as noted, became a participant in a federal project, which, among other things, is aimed at developing the preschool education system and providing places in kindergartens. For these purposes, the region will additionally receive more than 370 million rubles.
In the near future, it is planned to build another kindergarten for 150 children in the Karaginsky district of the region, and now work is underway on projects to build a kindergarten in the village of Sobolevo. It is specified that over the past seven years, six new kindergartens have been built in the Kamchatka Territory, which made it possible to additionally admit more than 1,000 children.
